In Fond Memory of Vic Barr and Dan Burelson

It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the recent passing of two of our juried wood artist, Vic Barr and Dan Burleson.  Both artists were well loved and respected in the art community.  Our hearts go out to their family and friends.

Victor “Vic” Barr, 76 of St. Louis, MO passed away suddenly on Friday, April 19, 2019 at his residence.  He proudly served in the United States Navy Reserves for 25 years.  His professional career was spent in various roles of accounting and finance with non-profit agencies. Vic was a former board member for the Best of Missouri Hands.  He also played an important role as co-chair for the Art Fair at Queeny Park as well as a board member with the Greater St. Louis Art Association.  Vic touched the lives of many, his loss will be felt deeply.

Daniel “Dan” Burleson, 67 of Troy, MO passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2019.  Dan also served his country in the United States Air Force.  Having worked most his life as a Fireman, retirement allowed him to pursue his passion in wood.  Dan was a member of the American Association of Woodturners.  He always had a smile and made an impact with his kind and gentle nature.
