MEMORY BOOK REQUEST – Donald Marquardt
A special request from the son of juried Best of Missouri Hands artist, Donald Marquardt.
His son Kevin shared…
I have a very important request to send out to all friends, family and friends of family. My father, Donald (Doc) Marquardt has been battling cancer, and all treatment has had no effect. In fact, it has spread very aggressively and is everywhere. His prognosis is a couple of weeks to a couple of months. I am asking anyone who has a fond memory of him from taking one of his classes, involvement in 4-H, by growing up with me or my sister or anything….PLEASE write down your memory or note and email it to me.
I am putting together a binder of these for him to read to understand how many lives he has touched. Dad is very stoic and matter of fact about this and doesn’t want to burden anyone. Please respect his privacy and wishes and do not call him directly as he does not feel up to having these conversations. Instead, email me your memories of him and any messages and I’ll be sure he sees them all.
We have very little time to do this and I’ve never met a better man, can only dream of being half the man he is, so please send them asap. My email address is kevyluv@live.com.
