Missouri Artists on Main – Artist Spotlight Joyce Rothermich
Joyce is a resident of St. Charles. She is retired from the City of St. Charles School District where she worked a reading specialist and in the area of special education. Joyce took up watercolor painting as a hobby but has recently been entering shows and competitions where she has won several awards for paintings.
In 2013, Joyce’s painting Passionate Pink was chosen as one of the winners in the American Association of University Women’s art contest on the national level. She is a signature member of the St. Louis Watercolor Society and a member of several artists guilds. She was named a Best of Missouri Hands Artist in 2015 and is a resident artist at MAOM in Painting and Silk Painting on scarves. Joyce also teaches Beginning/Intermediate Watercolor and Silk Painting. Look for her in our upcoming classes and workshops.
