The Foreign Exchange Photography competition is a partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, Ohio.
This competition provides photographers with an opportunity to connect and share their best work. Much like its name, Foreign Exchange is the mixing and sharing of ideas and projects. We want to provide a platform for exposure and give recognition for merit.
Participants’ work will be juried by Andy Adams of FlakPhoto, Laura Ruth Birdwell and Katherine Oktober Matthews.

Inspiration Grants from the ArtsKC Fund are an
investment in human capital, providing direct support to individual artists and arts professionals for projects and activities that have the potential to advance their careers and build their capacity for future work.
Applications should be for projects and activities occurring between the dates of July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.

Springboard for the Arts’ Hinge Arts Residency program welcomes U.S. writers, filmmakers, musicians, visual and performance artists for residencies focused on Creative Placemaking or Career Development.
Resident artists are provided free housing in newly converted apartments in a former nurse’s dormitory building at the former Fergus Falls State Hospital (“The Kirkbride”), as well as studio space with partner organizations throughout the community.

Call for Public Art in Gladstone Missouri
The City of Gladstone, Missouri is seeking an artist or collaborative team to develop innovative original artwork for the Gladstone Downtown Village Project, located between N. Oak and N. Holmes on NE 70th Street.
The project budget is $35,000. The winning candidate, selected through the RFQ submittals and interview process, will be asked to develop a proposal. In addition, a $1,200 proposal honorarium will be awarded.

Artists accepted to the Registry list will be considered for public art opportunities such as site-specific commissions, artist/architect collaborations, design services, and artist/community collaborations within Atlanta.
All professional artists residing in the United States with public art experience, interest in site-specific commissions, or who have involved community members in their work are encouraged to apply.

The Artist-in-Residence Program at Acadia National Park, SCHOODIC District in Winter Harbor, Maine, offers professional writers, composers, and all visual and performing artists the opportunity to pursue their particular art form while surrounded by the inspiring landscape of the park. The park provides housing to participants for two-week to four-week periods. No additional stipend is available.

Opera Grants for Female Composers provide support for the development of new operas by women, both directly to individual composers and to OPERA America Professional Company Members, advancing the important objective of increasing diversity across the field. OPERA America is pleased to open a second cycle of Discovery Grants (2015) and Commissioning Grants (2016) seeking to identify, support and help develop the work of female composers writing for the operatic medium, raising their visibility and promoting awareness of their compositions to the field.
