The Nature of Color
Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center
August 1 – 29, 2015
The Nature of Color is a photography exhibition celebrating the spectrum of color found in natural Missouri. Birds use color to attract, reptiles can use it to hide, and flowers to entice. For centuries man extracted color from nature for dyes to enhance both body and art. The colors of nature delight, comfort, and inspire. This exhibit of twenty-four photographs represents the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet found in Missouri nature. It is on display at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center gallery during the month of August 2015, and is free and open to the public during the Nature Center’s operating hours.
